I Initially heard of EN after searching for a place to try to market my first idea.

What inspired you to start inventing?

By trying to problem-solve issues or concerns that were important to me.

Do you find that invention ideas come to you or do you have to go after them?

Invention ideas come to me.

When did you come up with your first great idea?

Well, let’s see. I came up with my first patentable idea in 2017, while working in my kitchen.

Have you ever collaborated with another inventor(s) on a project? If so, how was that experience for you?

Yes, with my husband. We worked on, and obtained, a Provisional Patent for a Cabinet Organizer for the Bathroom. It was a great experience, because it showed what a great team we really do make. I came up with the idea and the design, My husband built the prototype, I painted it and then we both installed the prototype in our bathroom together.

What are some general industry trends you have noticed recently?

That there is an app for almost anything!

You have been an EN member since 2018, can you provide us with some details around your experiences and journey to date?

Well, to date, I have submitted four ideas that are currently being considered. Actually, I find it exciting to submit an idea and watch it go through the stages. I enjoy reading about some of the other members as well. It keeps me motivated and inspired.

What advice would you tell others embarking on their own invention journeys?

I say, take one day a time. Give it your best shot, and ALWAYS remain positive.

What would you consider as your biggest failure and what did you learn from it?

My biggest failure was and still is, not believing in myself before now and not starting my inventor journey a lot sooner.

What are some other fun facts about yourself that you’d like to share with the EN community?

In my spare time, I love baking and spending time with my husband and family. I especially love being a grandmother.
