Happy National Inventors Month! What inspires you?

What inspires you and your invention ideas?

May is National Inventors Month, a time to celebrate and acknowledge the world’s best and most creative innovators — including our Edison Nation community! This month we’re hosting an #Inventspiration campaign, and it’s easy to participate.

Share a picture of what inspires you and post it on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. What about your photo inspires you? Tell us when you’re posting! And be sure to use the hashtag #inventspiration and tag @EdisonNation so that we can see and keep track.

[Side note: if you aren’t following Edison Nation on social, you can find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!]

At the close of May, we’ll randomly choose one #inventspiration post, and that individual will receive a free product design consultation with our in-house development team found at Enventys. If you live near our HQ in North Carolina, we’ll host you here. If you’re across the country, we’ll do the consult through video.

Feeling shy about what to share? A few of our team members have been sharing what motivates and inspires them.

"Climbing and being high in the mountains gives not so much inspiration but perspective. When you're stripped of all comforts and completely exposed, pushed beyond what you thought was possible, the world makes sense. These moments of clarity give me inspiration." -Cory Hymel, Software Engineer ‪#‎inventspiration‬

"It's amazing how life can change in an instant. This little gal inspires me each and every day. When I look at her, I don't only see my daughter, but I see a reason to be my best, strongest self. She is, by far, the best thing I've ever done." --Michelle Sartori, Community Manager

Hi, my husband and I spend a good amount of money trying to put of our ideas on the market, but it is so frustrating what companies like Divison and NY Invents do to people. They just want to get your money. I do hate them for this. We are not rich, and all what they do, is to take your money and gives you falses hope. How frustrating if that.
