Daniel Lentz, You’re a Season 4 Everyday Edison!
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011Please join us in congratulating Daniel Lentz, our fourth Season 4 Everyday Edison!
Growing up in his Virginia home, Daniel noticed an activity that seemed particularly cumbersome when it came to the family pets. It wasn’t until college however, when tasked with a design project that would solve a household problem, where he finally got a chance to create a solution. Realizing his invention was more than just a project, and after a year of working to develop it on his own, Daniel submitted his idea to Edison Nation where it caught the attention of our team. Now as one of our Everyday Edisons Season 4 inventors, not only will Daniel have a chance to see his former college project become a real, viable product, but the world will have chance to follow along as well!
Watch below as Daniel receives the exciting news!

Meet the EN Team: Alexa Adams
Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011Ever wonder who creates those snazzy mailers or ensures the Edison Nation graphics and emails are just right for your viewing pleasure? Meet Alexa Adams!

Q1. What is your position within Edison Nation and what does it entail?
A. I’m the Brand Manager at Edison Nation. I make sure we’re keeping a consistent brand look and feel. I create most of the printed material and also contribute to emails and web graphics.
Q2. What do you enjoy most about working at Edison Nation?
A. I love the atmosphere here. I’ve been here almost 6 years and there’s never been a dull day. We all work hard and have a lot of laughs. It’s just a very upbeat place to be.
Q3. Where are you from?
A. I grew up in Dallas, TX. It’s hot and football is #1. I remember thinking, “wow, look at all these trees everywhere” when I moved to North Carolina. I miss my family terribly, but I love Charlotte.
Q4. What are you likely doing on a Saturday morning?
A. I love quiet Saturday mornings. I like to get up early (ok, my 4 month old gets me up early) and go on a walk with my daughter. Afterwards, my husband, daughter and I go out to a small bagel shop for breakfast.
Q5. What is on your DVR right now?
A. This question is quite devastating. In preparation for my maternity leave and planning for many sleepless nights ahead, I stock-piled my DVR. During a spring storm, a lightening strike fried our cable box and I lost everything. Tear. A few things that WERE on there are: Bones, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights, Flipping Out, Modern Family and any HGTV/DIY show that looks inspirational. Oh—and the last episode of LOST that I could never bring myself to delete!
Stay tuned for next month’s “Meet the EN Team” where you’ll meet the Edison Nation team member we like to refer to as our “Jill of all trades,” Kalpana Patel!
